BBLite phpbb template

Phpbb forum template, version 2.0.8 . Flash effects on the header, there is also optional non-flash header included. Template is set at 100% width, tested under IE +6, netscape, mozilla, and opera browsers. Resources, all included for your editing needs is located under resources folder. Everything else is pretty much self
explanatory
| Requirements to edit logo Photoshop 6 or above |
Editing logo Changing the logo can't be easier than this. Before editing, I recommend to install the fonts that came with this template first, located in the resources folder. Using the provided BBLite-main.psd file located in resources folder. Open with photoshop, there is a logo.atn which is a action file which you can load in photoshop, this action creates your logo for you in one press of a button. If you choose not to use the action file and want to create your own logo, feel free to do so. Once you're done editing, transfer to Image Ready, since this is a pre-edited file, there will be no need to slice this psd, everything is already done for you. Go to main menu in Image Ready, choose save optimized as option, then publish it. Once published, you should get a new directory that looks like "templates/BBLite/images" copy the new images foler (the one you just published) overwrite with the old images thats in this template. That's it, you're done. For users thats using the flash version, there is just one more step, after publishing the new edited logo, open up logo.fla with macromedia flash mx. Once opened, open up library (Ctrl+L). Locate BBLite-main_logo.gif, double click the image and a new window should come out, choose import option, then point it to the new edited directory templates/BBLite/images/BBLite-main_logo.gif. Then press ok and publish the new logo.swf and replace the old. Note: The psd file and the logo.fla file are pre-edited with correct sizing and settings and the default animation, if you're doing more than just changing text i don't guarantee the template to function properly after. |
| Switching from flash version to non flash For those that do not want flash on the header, simply rename overall_header.tpl to overall_header-flash.tpl and rename overall_header-noflash.tpl to overall_header.tpl Same thing vise versa if you want to use flash header later on. |
